It has been a while since I have posted on the site. It comes with a simple but very reasonable explanation: I have been writing a book. This is a collection of personal experience in sports, helping others in sports and the research I rabbit holed myself into.
Since writing the book, I have felt a need to inform athletes and those around athletes to understand the importance of therapy. Simply put, look at the professionals. A story at least once a month comes out about an athlete suffering from mental health or expressing the importance that therapy has played in their personal and athletic lives.
Obviously sports requires athletes be a bit hard headed and independent of the help of others to perform at their best. But, when you go to the professional levels, and even the college levels, they have people designated to help with mental health and mental sport performance, and that alone should be enough to stress the importance of mental health and mindset training. If you are in Kansas or Missouri, get a hold and reach out to my email. I would love to help start your mental training journey specifically for athletes!
