A common theme in my upcoming book aimed to give basic tools to athletes and showcase a system a system I use with those that I work with, I found myself reflecting back to Sunday workouts I endured through all of my high school and part of my college football career.
This workout lasted for a minimum of two hours and was followed with some sort of basic BBQ and time to relax. A true way to build community after navy seal type of workouts. Besides allowing me to physically grow into an elite athlete, I also developed the mindset that looks for any way to win and face adversity without flinching or even giving it a thought.
THE MESSAGE TO VE RECEIVED IN THIS:
A encourage athlete and high performers to develop healthy and ideal routine sooner than later. No matter if you are in the first year of your sport, or a retired athlete, it is never too late to develop a routines that promote a healthy body and a resilient mind to sports, work and life in general.
A TOOL TO USE:
Jot down every thought you have about yourself as only one part of your life. Meaning not every thought in a day but every thought as your athlete self, worker self, family person self or any specific role you play in life. The next few segments will be adjusting words being spoken and thoughts being aimed towards optimism.
