Looking at the bigger picture of athletes mental health and mental performance w/ Malique Taylor

As I walked peer through what I do for a living and my goals for further down the road, a light bulb moment of a commonly unaddressed topic popped into my head. It is never too late to start working with someone like me for mental performance and mental health, but the best results come when deficiencies and goals of the internal athlete is addressed before it gets out of control.

Even more, the athlete has to shape not only themselves but also tie in, how their program affects them and their environments as well. An athlete with a over critical parent or coach without the proper tools, will find themselves unable to break a negative cycle of self. Versus an athlete with proper environments and program, will excel and speed through to more optimal performance and mental health.

This means that anyone who is involved with an athlete has influence, in some way. Whatever role you are, as an athlete, coach, trainer, family member and so on. It is important to understand either how you are being influenced or how you are influencing your athlete.
