Unnoticed Benefits of Working With A Therapist As An Athlete

One of the most important traits an athlete can have throughout his/her career, is being able to properly receive and provide communication of all sorts.

One thing that I am mindful of when working with athletes, is being intentional with body language, eye contact, tone and other verbal or non-verbal communicators. There is no better place to work on it than in the comfort of the four walls with a therapist who works with athletes and can provide in the moment feedback.

Being an athlete goes beyond the actions on the field/court or area of play. Athlete have to be able to communicate well, and receive coaches/referees/parents feedback well without damaging their ability to perform or damage a relationship in the sport.
